WHO WE ARE

Orbital Sciences Command (OSC) is Sri Lanka's space sciences society built by people who are simply enthusiasts at heart. We're stargazers, science nerds, students, and young professionals who found each other over a shared curiosity about space, and decided to turn that curiosity into a community. If you've ever looked up at the night sky and wanted to know more, you're already one of us.

We're built to grow nationwide with clear governance, and a subchapter system that lets university groups, institutes, and even overseas communities become part of the same movement. It's not just a WhatsApp group that fizzles out after a year. It's meant to last.

WHAT WE DO

We run space science events, outreach programs, and hands-on projects for anyone curious about the universe — from casual stargazing sessions and talks, to hackathons and challenge-based team projects where members get to actually build and problem-solve, not just listen. Whatever your interest — astronomy, astrophysics, aerospace, planetary science, or just space in pop culture — there's something happening you can be part of.

WHO CAN JOIN

Anyone with the curiosity for it. School students, university students, and young professionals, as long as you're under 35. No prior experience or academic background in science is required. Just bring your interest.
